10 year anniversary…1000th show…9th record release…April 20, 2018 is the date White Mystery concludes it’s decade-long social experiment. For the past ten years, we’ve stayed 100% independent, and duked out the good fight of rocking and rolling worldwide. We will always be White Mystery, though, what happens next is truly…the mystery.

Miss Alex White started DJing vinyl at age 19 in Chicago. She discovered 45s in the late 1990s at record stores, where she recognized her favorite oldies for 10¢ a pop. Her collection grew at a time when vinyl was still considered old-fashioned and outdated, so a lot of her rare records were affordable at the time.
Now Alex spins records nationwide, inspiring wallflowers to cut a rug.

(That’s 4/20—as in pot o’clock—for all you nonjokers, nonsmokers, and non-midnight tokers out there.) The Whites have decided to introduce the album to the world by sharing its raging title track a few weeks early, and as usual this wolf is super down with the band’s blistering chops and thundering rhythms—and on this particular jammer, Alex switches from Greek to potty-mouthed English at the drop of a chorus! Sophocles would be impressed! (more…)Posted 03.10.17 Permalink to this story
