White Mystery are siblings Miss Alex White and Francis Scott Key White, a Chicago based garage rock duo formed in 2008. Omaha artist Mike Kronberger (link his name to https://mikekronberger.com/white-mystery) created this poster in 2015 for their Omaha show at the Reverb Lounge with pretty much just a pencil adding the colors in digitally. The hair pattern was later used as a background graphic for the Miss Alex White custom signature fuzz pedal “Firekeeper.”

Join us as Diane Alexander White talks through Skype with Detroit Tigers pitcher Milt Wilcox about documentary photos she shot at Disco Demolition on July 12, 1979. During the discussion, Miss Alex White of White Mystery Band will be spinning disco and rock music. On that fateful night radio DJ Steve Dahl invited fans to bring disco records to blow up between innings of a double header between the Detroit Tigers and the White Sox at Comiskey Park. Why did thousands of fans storm the field at Disco Demolition and create a riot that called in the police? What happened afterwards has become an iconic moment in music, baseball and Chicago history. Click Here to view the Facebook Invitation. See you there!
Diane’s Disco Demolition photos will be on view on both floors of the Sulzer Regional Library from July 1 – August 31, 2017. Free admission.
A concert “advance” in the music industry is basically an email check-in between the booker and the band close to the show date. Sometimes the booker sends an advance to you, and in the case of White Mystery, we advance with the club about two weeks before the show. This is your opportunity to make sure everything is on track, provide your Stage Plot, and confirm your hospitality.
Start the advance email with a three-liner: (more…)
