Full house of new Chicago music last night on Local Anesthetic. Aided immeasurably by a 2-minute rocker from White Mystery (at the Subterranean this Saturday night) and a shorty but a goody from Naomi Ashley, I was able to squeeze in eight tracks! We also had a preview of a new song from Fort Frances that will be officially released Oct. 5. A benefit “T-Shirt” single from Chasing Mars. A solo turn forEpicycle‘s Ellis Clark. The long-in-waiting debut from Julie Meckler. A four-track EP from The Voice alumnus, Jamie Lono. A track from Recess, another fine effort by kid’s songwriter Justin Roberts rounded out the show.
