“White Mystery + Las Infantas en Madrid,” Crónica de un Concierto

El pasádo sábado 2 de febrero asistimos en la sala Wurlitzer de Madrid y de la mano de Holy Cuervo a la cita con White Mystery y Las Infantas.

White Mystery llevan desde el 2008 petando oídos, tienen dos discos a sus espaldas “White Mystery” (2010) y “Blood & Venom” (2011) y un tercero “Telepathic” que se publicará el 20 de Abril de este año 2013. Les pillamos porque actualmente están girando por Europa para volver a los “estates” y tocar con grandes como los Stooges.

De ellos sabíamos que son de Chicago, hermanos y con una personal cabellera roja. Intuíamos de sobra los ritmos enérgicos de Francis Scott White a la batería y el sonidaco de la guitarra a manos de Miss Alex White. Esto está claro pero de lo que no teníamos ni idea era de que el amplificador Orange de la señorita White superaría volúmenes tales que dejarían nuestros oídos listos para una “ITV”.

Llegó la hora de la subida al ring, los “colorados”, cada uno en su posición, empezaron a repartir su punk rock de altas vibraciones desde el minuto cero, empezando con el tema de presentación “White Mystery”.

A partir de aquí no hubo descanso, la oleada de “hostias” distorsionas de la Rickenbacker de Alex W. hizo que nuestras cabezas rebotaran al ritmo de sus rizos. Disponían de una energía elevada a la quinta potencia, que hicieron que el principio y fin de sus temas se difuminaran.

No se reservaron progresión alguna, sonido contundente y lineal, ¡caña!, ¡caña! y más ¡caña!, puro punk sin tregua. Exahustos nos dejaron, y tenemos que decir que la voz de Alex nos encanta y su buen rollo más.

Pero antes de toda esta descarga eléctrica tuvimos el placer de escuchar a Las Infantas. Una banda madrileña que nos sorprendió gratamente. Formada,  en principio, por  Angel (voz y teclados), Andrew (guitarra), Bonjo (bateria), Felipe (bajo) y Mark (guitarra), descienden de nombres como Los Bultacos, Crack in Austin o The Alphabets y tienen influencias de bandas como los Ramones, The Stooges, Jay Retard o Devo.

Sus graciosas majestades nos divirtieron con una buena descarga de punk y tintes surf fijando conexión con el público presente con temas como “Dont think love is forever” que nos hizo “volver a creer en el amor real”. ¡Tenemos vídeo!:

Otra vez sentimos la mala calidad, pero ¡es lo que hay!.

Al final según fuimos viendo la progresión de los teloneros, cada vez más nos íbamos percatando de que estas infantas no se educaron en los mejores colegios suizos precisamente.
Ahora están preparando la producción de su primer disco y como queremos escuchar más y nos gustan Las Infantas pues… ¡Larga vida a Las Infantas!.
