After a harrowing European Invasion, White Mystery is blessed to be safe and sound in their beloved home Chicago, it was a wild tour, consuming many kilometers, beers, spliffs, and parties. Many new friends were also made, Sick Hyenas, Fields of Steel, Local Spastics and Combomatix just to name a few.
Our Danish Prince, Stephan, put together an amazing tour for us and was an excellent driver. He is already heading back out into the trenches with The Cosmonauts, no rest for the wicked! We love him and are excited to work with him again.

The Extravaganza was gang busting game breaking record beating awesomeness! Those who came early and beat the rush were treated to ten Piece Pizzas, personally delivered by Francis White in the White Mystery Mobile, all of which were descended on in a wild eyed, Chuck-E-Cheeze like fashion, tearing mouthfuls out in between fits of gaming and drinking.
The free Old Style, Cutty Sark and line out the door made the staff of on-the-spot bartenders look like they were breezing through a harder level of Tapper, while the glow of machines and buzz in the air lent the party a frenzied vibe that is sure to linger at the Emporium for the rest of the year. The palpable musk of premium meat emanating from the Gunslinger Jerkey Gang set up in the middle of the room pushed the frenzy deeper into shark territory while partiers dismembered each other at Mortal Kombat
Posted 01.11.13 Permalink to this storyI think my body is trying to kill me, the benign tumors growing in my pelvis are causing more and more nerve pain with each passing day. More than half my life has been spent suffering from it and I’m meeting with a neurologist next week to see whether or not I will need a third surgical procedure. Red heads are more susceptible to pain than any other hair type and more resistant to anesthesia, so not only is this already severe pain intensified by the melanin in my hair and my fair skin, but I also get to look forward to waking up during my surgeries while I’m split open. It feels good to talk about it.
The kindergarten massacre and the ensuing debate on gun laws makes me think of The Simpsons “Tree House of Horror” where Lisa wishes upon a cursed monkey paw for world peace, only to have Kang and Kodos enslave humanity with a slingshot and a club. Earth was then saved from alien enslavement by Moe Sislack chasing them off planet with a two-by-four with a nail in it, at which point Kang & Kodos prophesied one day the human race will create a board with a nail in it so big, it will doom mankind”.
The evolution of American serial killer culture over the last half century has been quite interesting. It now seems impossible in this modern age of technology to pull off the killing sprees like Ted Bundy did back in the day, he never used a gun, had a kill count over 30, and evaded the police for years. Psychopaths are part of the human condition, the ways that the lash out will continue to evolve in terrifying ways, and whatever causes that evil cannot be stifled or prevented no matter what weapon laws or mental care policies we put into effect. Can anyone really imagine a world where evil doesn’t exist? Is it possible to uninvent the firearm? We are powerless in these regards.
On a Lighter note Lane Willheims Dungeon Mastered a truly remarkable D&D session last night, My Paladin, named Fraxel, who rides into battle atop a massive battle rhinoceros, named Axel, slew the evil doers and lust demons and attempted to lift the dark cloud the lingered over us all after the shooting. It was a magical evening.

Dungeons & Dragons was a success! Last night was our little brother Nicholas James White’s birthday and he turned 22! We celebrated it by hunting dinosaurs, slaying barbarians, and drinking a shot of vodka every time someone rolled a 1 or a 20.
I’m reading G.R.R. Martin’s “A Feast For Crows” and damn is that a slow book, it’s taken me the entire summer to wade through it whereas I finished the first 3 books in a couple weeks. “A Song of Ice and Fire” is a truly lovely series despite that.
In other news the new White Mystery Album will be available for pre-order soon and it’s going to blast valerian steel up your ass, you have been warned.

Tonight I play Dungeons and Dragons with my friends, I haven’t been able to play for a while due to our relentless tour schedule. I am excited to step back into my character, the Doubling Half Giant Monk named Bushman Blackheart. He is a towering martial artist that uses his size as an advantage for leaping around the battlefield and performing awesome dropkicks on those smaller than him.
Do we have any D&D players in the house? What sort of character do you like to play?
