The Chicago Greek Town SSA commissioned Miss Alex White from White Mystery to customize a column for their outdoor art project on Halsted Street. Her vision was to deconstruct the column from its traditional form into a contemporary design object, with stark, colorful contrasts, and a chevron pattern. Alex teamed up with her collaborator Steven Teichelman, owner of Threefold Chicago, to spray paint the plaster sculpture, inspired by Pink Floyd’s iconic “Dark Side of the Moon” album art.
