The Hideout will celebrate its 15th anniversary at its annual block party Sept. 24 with Mavis Staples, Andrew Bird, Jon Langford and Booker T. Jones.
Also scheduled to play the 10-hour event, announced Monday, are local stalwarts the Eternals and Opera-Matic, up-and-comers White Mystery and Kids These Days, and New Orleans bounce diva Big Freedia. The club, 1354 W. Wabansia, is a fixture in the local scene with its living-room atmosphere and casual vibe, and has contributed more than $250,000 to local charities from the block party.
