NAPERVILLE — Outdoor outfitter chain Filson is opening a new store at 41 W. Jefferson Ave. in Naperville.
The 2,400 square-foot store will offer the brand’s full product assortment.
The Seattle-based outfitter was founded by C.C. Filson in 1897 as a clothing and blanket manufacturer serving prospectors as they prepared for treks into the Yukon, and it has since evolved its collection to include menswear, womenswear, luggage and accessories.
The Naperville location will be the brand’s fourth store in the Midwest, with locations currently in Columbus, OH, Detroit, MI and Edina, MN.
“We fully expect the Filson, Naperville location to quickly become a destination shopping experience for people to see, touch and feel Filson products in-person and to get a sense of our Seattle roots.” said Filson CCO Alex Carleton.
A grand opening weekend will be held from 2-6 p.m. Sept. 28 and 29, featuring beer, DIY leather keychain making and a raffle of Filson products. A grand opening party will be held from 6-9 p.m. Oct. 3, featuring DJ sets and live music by White Mystery, beer by Solemn Oath Brewing, food by Empire Burgers & Brew, chain-stitch artist Jessi Woska customizing Filson gear on-site, and a raffle of Filson products.
