Looking for fun in Chicago this week?  There’s plenty of music, art, and fests happening. I recommend:

1.  TUE. 1/10/12 @ Empty Bottle (9:00pm, Free with RSVP) Creepy Band, Jon Drake & The Shakes, Johnathan Young, Ryley Walker awesome lineup of perfectly different, ecclectic, guitar-driven local bands.

2.  TUE 1/10/12 @ Cole’s (10pm-2am, Free)  Terrible Twosday DJs Miss Alex White with Kristin Marks from CHIRP twin-spin hot slabs of wax.

3.  WED 1/11/12 @ The Whistler (11pm, Free)  Ig (from oh my god and Them vs. Them) and Michael Caskey (from Eastern Blok) are together The Claudette’s on wicked piano and drums.

4.  FRI 1/13/12 @ The Reversible Eye (7pm, RSVP $ contribution of your choice by 1/12/12 at 12 midnight) Tarantismo Art Show opening features best artists from midwest’s outerspace like Timmy Vulgar, Christopher Ilth, Mac Blackout, and Jimbo Easter with plenty of collages, puffy paint, and human eyeballs.

5.  SUN 1/15/12 @ Schuba’s (9pm, $15)  Tomorrow Never Knows Fest with White Mystery, Mannequin Men, Mister Loveless, City Centre and Goose Island-hosted bar from 7-8pm.  Get tickets here.
