TIMEOUT CHICAGO: Unofficial Pitchfork 2011
Saily Jerry Presents “3 days” of garagey rock at Cobra Lounge (235 N Ashland Ave) featuring some of the more exciting down and dirty rock acts gracing the city’s clubs these days: White Mystery, Mickey, Mannequin Men, Hollows among them. If you wish Pitchfork had more good ol’ rock n’ roll bands, these gigs should sate your thirst and probably get you drunk in the process. Hey, I love a little rum with my rock in my summer so I’m not complaining. You’ll need to R.S.V.P. to the shows, which are free, 21-and-up and walking distance from Union Park. (more…)

THE FEAST
Over three nights in mid-July, fine spirits purveyors Sailor Jerry will bring nine rock’n’roll rabblerousers to Cobra Lounge for what should prove one heck of a sweat-soaked, rum-stained weekend. They’re calling it “Three Days of Music,” and, well, they’ve certainly got that part right.
Friday, July 15 sees the garage-rocking ginger siblings of White Mystery heading a bill that also includes local glam-punks Mickey and Lansing, Michigan pummelers par excellence The People’s Temple. (more…)
