The brother/sister duo White Mystery have been a staple in Chicago’s Garage Rock scene for several years. This time they’re back with the fifth full-length, an album that sees them do things quite differently. This time the band has favored a more polished “Pop” sound while exploring their sonic palette to include multiple instruments and more intricate arrangements than ever before. Fans of the band will be surprised to hear Casio keyboard beats, xylophone and auto-tune, among other instruments, on this record. But then, again, it’s called “Out Of Control”… Miss Alex White joined Jesse Menendez for discussion.

Continuing their annual tradition, White Mystery will release their latest album OUTTA CONTROL on April 20, the eighth anniversary of the date when Miss Alex White and her brother, Francis Scott Key White, joined forces.
The April 1 announcement comes a day after yet another notch in the band’s belt. White Mystery will appear on Last Call With Carson Daly, Thursday night, 12:35 Central Time. (more…)

Since 2008, Windy City duo White Mystery has been one of the hardest working acts in low-brow show biz. Boot-stomping their trash blues through dives, juke joints, big festivals, Levis ad campaigns, and a documentary (That Was Awesome), they’ve eventually scattered out numerous singles and now have their fifth album, Outta Controlready to rumble on April 20.Tonight they’ll be seen on Last Call with Carson Daly doing “Best Friend” from the new self-released album, but we’ve got it here first, below, as well as a sizable chat from leader Miss Alex White about her brother drummer, hair eating and the endless road that is White Mystery.
